MIT scientists create a super plastic that’s 2 times stronger than steel

Is the material's future guilt-free? If we continue our current quality of life, the need for plastic is likely never to go away. They take very little energy to produce and are so heavily involved in almost all aspects of our daily lives — from the lids of our to-go cups to aeroplanes — that a plastic boycott would be nearly impossible. However, with our oceans now filled with one-time use products, it's clear we've mishandled them.
